Claudia Mendez is an experienced educational professional specializing in college counseling and career development. Currently serving as a College Counselor at The Packer Collegiate Institute since August 2018 and as the Director of College & Career Counseling at Urban Assembly School for Global Commerce since July 2015, Claudia has successfully founded and implemented comprehensive post-secondary programming, resulting in notable acceptance and enrollment rates for students. Previous roles include Director of College Counseling at Uncommon Collegiate Charter High School, where Claudia developed college access programming, and Director of the High School Program at Summer on the Hill Program, where robust college access efforts and mentor programs were established. Claudia holds a Master’s degree in Sociology in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Community Studies with a minor in Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
