Jason Hillyard

Vice President Of Business Development at Packetcraft, Inc.

Jason Hillyard has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Jason started their career at PCSI as a member technical staff, followed by senior software engineer role at DENSO, and then worked as a senior staff software engineer at Broadcom, where they designed and developed Bluetooth protocols for streaming media and remote control. Jason then became a senior systems architect at Texas Instruments and led the development of 802.15.4 MAC software for three different chip platforms.

Jason then founded Wicentric Inc., a successful startup that licensed embedded Bluetooth low energy software to semiconductor companies. Jason identified market needs, formulated product concepts, built initial architecture and implementation, launched and marketed the product, and closed licensing deals. Jason then sold Wicentric to Arm, where they served as the Director of Software Engineering for Arm's new BLE IP product line, leading the post-acquisition transition of Wicentric into Arm involving engineering, sales, marketing, licensing, and legal. Jason later became Arm's Director of Technology, responsible for software technology direction and its intersection with business strategy, developing an open-source strategy and business model for the Cordio BLE software.

Currently, Hillyard serves as the Vice President of Business Development at Packetcraft Inc.

From 1989 to 1994, Jason Hillyard attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
