Alicia W. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Alicia started their career as a Library Assistant at Knowsley and York Libraries from 2005 to 2010. Alicia then had a brief intern position at Arsenal Pulp Press in 2010 before working as an Editorial Assistant at Lester's Army Magazine from 2011 to 2011. Alicia also worked as an Assistant Commissioning Editor at Future Science Group from 2011 to 2012, and as a Technical Editor at the University of York from 2012 to 2014. Alicia then took on the role of Marketing Coordinator at York Health Economics Consortium from 2014 to 2017.

In 2016, Alicia started working as a Freelance Nutritionist on an ad hoc basis, and in 2017 they became a Digital Marketing Manager at VetPartners Limited. Alicia managed digital marketing activities and led website development projects for 100 veterinary practices.

Alicia also has experience as an Independent Writing and Editing Professional, where they worked on various projects for clients in the NHS, public sector, higher institutions, and medical journals.

Most recently, Alicia held roles at Packt, starting as a Content Acquisitions Editor in 2018. Alicia then became a Senior Learning Development Manager, where they tested and iterated the company's learning strategy and managed a team of L&D Professionals. Currently, they hold the role of Head of Learning and Development, where they plan and delivers the company's learning strategy and builds relationships with business unit leads.

Alicia W. holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Psychology from the University of York. Alicia also has a Master of Medical Science (MMedSci) degree in Human Nutrition from The University of Sheffield. In addition to their formal education, Alicia has obtained various certifications in areas such as leadership and development, instructional design, mentoring, coaching, and digital marketing. Alicia obtained certifications from institutions such as the Josh Bersin Academy, LinkedIn, Udemy, Nicole Smart International Corporate Trainer, Product Focus, New Skills Academy, and Shaw Academy.
