Laura Albuquerque

Laura Albuquerque serves as the Director of the Future Climate Group, leading the climate consulting team and driving business growth since May 2023. In addition to this role, Laura is a member of the advisory committee for the Net Zero Ambition Movement under the United Nations Global Compact in Brazil and a lecturer at Ibmec, specializing in Energy Transition and Climate Science. Previously, Laura held senior positions at WayCarbon as Senior Manager and Technical Manager, focusing on corporate strategy, climate mitigation, and sustainable finance. Laura has also guest lectured at various institutions and contributed to initiatives aimed at enhancing climate governance and sustainable practices within the private sector. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Planning from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, with ongoing doctoral studies in Engineering at the same institution.
