Mike Smits

Mike Smits has extensive experience in the youth care and social domain, currently serving as an MDFT therapeut i.o. at Pactum since June 2020, where responsibilities include working as a pedagogical staff member in an open treatment group for adolescents aged 12 to 18. Concurrently, Mike holds the position of youth coach and coordinator at Backbone Academy since October 2021. As a self-employed professional with Disc 4 People since January 2014, Mike has been involved in conceptualizing and implementing projects addressing safety and livability issues, as well as providing guidance and support to groups and individuals. Previous roles include coaching and advising youth workers at Trajekt, outreach work in various neighborhoods, and coordinating youth initiatives for the municipality of Gennep. Mike's educational background includes a bachelor's degree from Fontys University of Applied Sciences and ongoing postgraduate studies in multidimensional family therapy.
