Jon Herd

Jon Herd is currently the VP of Information Security at Paddle. Prior to this, they were the Head of InfoSec at Limelight Networks from September 2011 to September 2021. There, they were responsible for the digital transformation of the company's Information Security program to meet the ever-evolving needs of the business at Internet scale. This included leading high performance, distributed teams to deliver global security and compliance objectives.

Herd has also held the position of Senior Technical Solutions Engineer at CDNetworks from September 2009 to September 2011. In this role, they were responsible for providing technical support and solutions to customers.

Throughout their career, Herd has been responsible for various aspects of security, including governance, risk, and compliance; audit and risk committee reporting; global security policies, procedures, controls, and implementation; establishing and maturing security audit, incident response, and remediation practices; SOC II, NIST CSF, GDPR, and SOX controls identification, implementation and annual audit activities; shifting security and compliance left; defining, designing, and operating SSDLC and the CI/CD infrastructure and security toolchain, processes and procedures; and board reporting and cybersecurity advisory.

Jon Herd completed a BSC in Applied Biochemistry from Liverpool John Moores University and also has a certification from LinkedIn in Agile Software Development: Transforming Your Organization. Jon is currently working on their CISSP certification from (ISC)².

Jon Herd reports to Andre Vella, CTO. Jon Herd works with Mike Wakeling - Principal Product Manager, Marcus Hayward - VP, Engineering.
