Joanne Tosti-Vasey

Joanne Tosti-Vasey is an accomplished civil rights advocate and community leader with extensive experience in various roles, including Council Member for Bellefonte Borough and Chair of the Civil Rights Advisory Council for the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. Joanne has also founded the Leaders in Civil Rights Advocacy group and served as an elected representative on the Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee, where numerous policy resolutions advocating for civil rights have been developed. With a Ph.D. from Penn State University and a robust background in nonprofit management and legislative advocacy, Joanne's commitment to social justice is further demonstrated through advisory roles in healthcare advocacy and leadership positions within the National Organization for Women. Currently, Joanne also works as a part-time advisor for Creative Memories and has previous experience managing a consulting firm focused on statistical analyses and grant writing.
