Role:

Page One Power is a 100% remote SEO firm that is looking for content writers who have hands-on experience in a professional writing environment, freelancing or otherwise, to join our contract writing team.

As an SEO contract writer, you will be responsible for creating written content for Page One Power on an article-by-article basis in support of our link building products. You will work with the editorial team to ensure each piece you create meets our quality standards. 

We are looking for professional contract writers who are able to turn in polished, high-quality, and client-ready work for editorial review for their initial submissions. We will not accept any articles that are identified as being written or edited, either in whole or in part, by artificial intelligence (AI). Additionally, we will not accept any articles that do not follow our provided instructions or that are plagiarized in any way.

Because we work with clients who come from a wide range of niches and industries, we’re looking for writers who have the desire and ability to learn about many different topics, and then relay in writing only what is necessary and relevant to the subject at hand. We’re specifically seeking out writers who are familiar with and comfortable writing about technical topics, including those related to business, AI, healthcare, IT, marketing, eCommerce, and cybersecurity. In this position, you will have the opportunity to write in many different niches, but an existing knowledge of and ability to write about technical topics is preferred.

Although creativity is important, the ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail is perhaps even more vital. We expect and require all contract writers to follow the guidelines provided with each assignment to ensure the work we do aligns with the predetermined SEO goals we’re working to achieve for our clients.

Expectations:

• Must be a fluent English speaker/writer

• Meet and take responsibility for clearly-stated deadlines

• Pay attention to detail and follow instructions closely

• Proactively communicate with questions or concerns, such as not being able to meet deadlines

• Possess excellent editorial skills and regularly produce articles that are free of spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors

• Work well independently, as well as collaboratively with copy editors when provided written feedback

• Flourish in an environment that is dependent upon respectful written communication

Skills Needed:

• Must have previous verifiable writing experience, experience specifically in the range of creating organic content for the web (such as blog posts and informational content)

• Proficiency in Google Suite: Google Docs, Sheets, etc.

• Experience with Asana preferred, but not required

  • If no experience with Asana, expressed confidence and experience in learning new digital tools with the help of a step-by-step walkthrough

• Ability to work within specific topic confines and listed restrictions

• Ability/flexibility in written skill to make two unrelated topics work well together naturally

Compensation/Employment Type:

Individuals are hired on a remote contractor status. Compensation is provided in the range of $.08-$.10 per word as determined in the company assignment platform.
