Chelsea Tam

Chelsea Tam has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. Chelsea is currently working as a People Operations Manager at #paid since March 2023. Chelsea previously worked at Hootsuite as a People Operations Strategist from January 2022 to August 2022. In this role, they collaborated with stakeholders to enhance productivity, developed frameworks for employee resource groups, and created solutions to retain employees. Prior to that, they worked at Shopify in various roles. As a Senior Operations Specialist, Talent Acquisition from March 2021 to January 2022, they optimized recruitment processes and implemented electronic collection of candidate NDAs. As a Senior Intern Program Specialist from June 2019 to March 2021, they focused on candidate scheduling, event planning, and accelerated interview training. Earlier, they worked as a Recruitment Coordinator from January 2018 to June 2019, where they onboarded the team to a new interview scheduling tool and optimized bulk scheduling processes. Before joining Shopify, Chelsea worked at Sun Life Financial as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator from June 2017 to January 2018. Chelsea began their career at Miovision as a People Operations Coordinator from February 2015 to April 2017, where they implemented an HRIS and payroll system, conducted full-cycle recruitment, and customized an applicant tracking system.

Chelsea Tam completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Co-op Option degree in Human Resources at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2010 to 2014. In December of 2015, they obtained the certification of Certified Human Resources Professional from HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association.
