Thomas Fuchs

Thomas Fuchs is a prominent leader in the field of artificial intelligence and digital health, currently serving as the Inaugural Chair and Dean of the Windreich Department of Artificial Intelligence and Human Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai since October 2020. Fuchs is also the Director of the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health and a member of the Tisch Cancer Institute. As the Founder and Chief Scientist of Paige since May 2017, Fuchs has significantly contributed to advancements in medical technology. Prior roles include Adjunct and Associate Professor at Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Associate Attending and Co-Director at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and research positions at the California Institute of Technology and Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Fuchs holds a Doctor of Sciences degree in Machine Learning from ETH Zürich and a Dipl.-Ing. in Technical Mathematics from Technische Universität Graz, along with postdoctoral research experience in Computer Vision from Caltech.
