Yikan Wang

Yikan Wang is a seasoned genomics scientist currently working at Paige since May 2021, specializing in data and AI science. Prior to this role, Yikan Wang worked at Boeing Vancouver as a data scientist, leading projects in aircraft predictive maintenance analytics and alert monitoring, where innovative algorithms were developed and patented. Yikan Wang also held a postdoctoral position at BC Cancer Agency, conducting bioinformatics analyses to tackle critical cancer-related questions and aid in genomic profiling. Additional experience includes research consultancy in text mining, and teaching and research assistant roles at The University of Auckland, complemented by early summer research internships focused on algorithm development in bioengineering. Yikan Wang holds a PhD in Bioengineering and a Bachelor of Engineering with first-class honors from The University of Auckland.
