Cary Johnstone

Cary Johnstone is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor at Pain Specialists of Charleston, P.A. since July 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Tutor in the UNC Chapel Hill Academic Support Program for Student Athletes from August 2022 to July 2023, where leadership in group tutoring sessions enhanced student athletes' understanding of psychology and effective study habits. Cary also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of South Carolina from February 2019 to December 2020 and held the position of Vice President for the Chi Omega-Eta Gamma Chapter from November 2019 to November 2020, focusing on academic programming and member support. Additionally, Cary served as an Assistant Resident Advisor at the Joffrey Ballet School in the summer of 2019. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Carolina.
