Waqar Ahmad

Waqar Ahmad is an experienced journalist currently serving as a Journalist since January 2024 and working as a Freelance Journalist with Urdu News and Lok Sujag. Waqar Ahmad holds the position of Inclusive Election Reporting Fellow with Pakistan Press International (PPI). An extensive freelance background includes contributions to Independent Urdu and The News International, particularly during the floods in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Additionally, Waqar Ahmad completed an Investigative Reporting Fellowship with Pakistan Press Foundation and a Climate Change Workshop Fellowship with Media Unlimited. Academic credentials include a Master of Philosophy in Communication and Media Studies, a Bachelor of Science in Media and Mass Communication, and ongoing PhD studies in Media and Communication Studies at International Islamic University, Islamabad.
