Thomas Ung

Thomas Ung is a robotic software engineer currently employed at PAL Robotics since March 2024. Prior to this role, Thomas worked at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique, focusing on developing a simulation environment for lab robots and managing projects related to robocup@Home SSPL while implementing V-SLAM. Experience includes research internships at Lab-STICC where navigation modules for robot assistants were created for the RoboCup@Home competition, as well as a freelance software engineering role where projects were developed for various companies. Thomas also completed a Software R&D internship at Ceva Santé Animale, contributing to an embedded solution for vaccine data visualization. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on AI from Umeå University and two Master's degrees in Intelligent, Interactive, and Autonomous Systems and Computer Science from Université de Bretagne Occidentale.
