Sanzhar Ospanov

Sanzhar Ospanov has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance industry. Sanzhar started their career as a Summer Intern at Eurasia Capital in 2011. In 2012, they completed internships at Sberbank of Russia and Sberbank CIB (formerly Troika Dialog).

Sanzhar then joined Halyk Finance in 2014 as an Analyst in the Debt & Equity Capital Markets (DCM/ECM) division. Sanzhar quickly progressed to the role of Senior Analyst and later became the Head of Debt & Equity Capital Markets Desk (DCM/ECM). During their tenure, their involvement in various successful deals earned international recognition.

In 2018, Sanzhar briefly worked as a Chief Manager at Halyk Bank before transitioning to the role of Urban Planning Specialist at Almaty Development Center. Sanzhar then joined Halyk Finance once again in 2019 as the Head of Corporate Finance, where they stayed until 2020.

Following their time at Halyk Finance, Sanzhar worked as the Director of Corporate Finance at BCC Invest JSC from late 2020 to mid-2021. Sanzhar then joined KPMG Caspian as a Manager in M&A and Deal Advisory, where they worked until early 2023.

Sanzhar's most recent position is the Director of Corporate Finance at Investbanq, where they have been since March 2023. With their extensive experience in finance and accomplishments in the industry, Sanzhar Ospanov brings a wealth of expertise to their current role.

Sanzhar Ospanov earned a Bachelor's Degree in Investment and Financial Risk Management from Bayes Business School, which they attended from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, they completed a short course in Financial Modelling in Excel at City University London. Prior to their time at Bayes Business School, Sanzhar completed their A-Level education at Bellerbys College from 2008 to 2010. Furthermore, they hold additional certifications in Decision-Making and Scenarios, obtained in November 2016 from the Wharton Online | The Wharton School, and The Basics of Data for Analytics, obtained in October 2016 from LinkedIn.
