Rodney Lalonde

Rodney LaLonde is a Machine Learning Researcher at Palantir Technologies since July 2022, specializing in User-Centered Machine Learning for Visual Search. Prior to this role, Rodney served as a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Kitware Inc. from September 2020 to July 2022, leading projects that involved the research and development of machine learning algorithms in areas such as object detection and classification. Rodney's earlier experience includes a position as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Central Florida from August 2016 to September 2020, focusing on object detection and medical image analysis while also teaching undergraduate courses. Additional internships include a role at Aptiv in 2019, where Rodney developed a segmentation framework for autonomous driving, and at Armored Things in 2018, designing a system for analyzing sensory data for room occupancy analysis.
