Philip Mertens

Philip Mertens is a seasoned professional in corporate venture capital, currently serving as Principal at dsm-firmenich Venturing since May 2023, focusing on investments in Human & Animal Health and Nutrition, Personal Care, and Biomedical sectors. Mertens holds board positions at Paleo, contributing to developments in functional ingredients for plant-based alternatives, and Miach Orthopaedics, observing advancements in bio-engineered surgical implants. Previously, Mertens worked at DSM in various capacities including Principal and CFO of DSM PPE+, and has been involved with S-Biomedic and ATRO Medical as a board member.
