Tara Nair

Tara Nair is a legal professional currently serving as a Summer Legal Intern at Palestine Legal since June 2024 and as a Legal Researcher for the Transformative Justice Collective (TJC) since January 2024. Additionally, Tara holds the position of Legal Research Assistant to the Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers at the United Nations Human Rights since June 2023. Previously, Tara was a Summer Fellow at the International Women's Rights Action Watch—Asia Pacific from June to September 2022 and co-taught a course titled "Decolonizing Education" at Wesleyan University in 2020. Tara received a Doctor of Law (JD) from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in College of Social Studies with high honors from Wesleyan University, alongside an International Baccalaureate Diploma from St. Joseph's Institution International.
