Luisa Margarita Laguado Franco

Luisa Margarita Laguado Franco has a strong background in legal counsel and insurance. Luisa Margarita currently holds the role of 2nd Vice President Foreign Legal Counsel at Pan-American Life Insurance Group since July 2019. Prior to this, they served as Secretaria General / Regional Counsel at Pan-American Life de Colombia, Compañía de Seguros S.A from May 2014 to June 2019. In this role, they provided legal advice and assistance for operations in Colombia and Ecuador. Luisa Margarita also worked as Ejecutiva Procesos Judiciales at QBE Insurance from June 2013 to May 2014, where they coordinated legal proceedings and managed external lawyers. Before that, they held various roles at Seguros SURA, including Representante Legal Judicial and Abogada Regional Centro, where they handled legal matters, attended hearings, and provided assistance to affiliated companies. Luisa Margarita also worked as Abogada Analista at ARP Sura from 2010 to 2013.

Luisa Margarita Laguado Franco holds a degree in Law, specializing in Social Security, from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, earned between 2004 and 2008. Luisa Margarita also pursued further education in Law, specializing in Insurance, at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, although the duration of this program is unknown. Currently, Luisa is pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Law at Loyola University New Orleans, with a planned completion period from 2021 to 2023.
