Lance Heywood

Lance Heywood, P.E. is a seasoned professional engineer with extensive experience in electrical and control engineering. Currently serving as a Professional Engineer at Palisades Tahoe since December 2019, Lance is responsible for the electrical engineering of ski-lifts, aerial tramways, snowmaking systems, and power distribution. As President of Heywood Engineering, Inc. since 1993, Lance has specialized in designing and integrating complex systems for various applications. Previous roles include Chief Electrical Engineer and Electrical Department Manager at Lift Engineering and Mfg. Company, Inc. from 1984 to 1993, where oversight of electrical control systems for tramways and ski-lifts was a key responsibility, and Design Engineer at Rosendin Electric from 1982 to 1984, focusing on electrical systems design for commercial and industrial facilities. Lance holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
