Christine Horak

Head of Translational Medicine, Executive Director at Palleon Pharmaceuticals

Christine Horak has had a long and varied career in the pharmaceutical industry. Christine began their career in 1996 as a Research Assistant in the Entomology Department at Cornell University. In 1997, they moved to Yale University as a Pre-doctoral Fellow and PhD Research, where they developed a genomic microarray-based approach for transcription factor target identification. In 2003, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Cancer Institute, where they studied mechanisms of breast cancer metastasis. In 2008, they joined Bristol Myers Squibb as External Innovation Program Lead. Christine then held the roles of Clinical Collaboration Lead, Director of I-O Medical Lead, and US Medical, and Associate Director, where they led biomarker efforts for Opdivo and Yervoy for melanoma and genitourinary cancers, as well as immuno-oncology assets not yet in the clinic. In 2022, they joined Palleon Pharmaceuticals as Head of Translational Medicine and Executive Director.

Christine Horak attended Cornell University from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a BS in Biology. Christine then attended Yale University from 1997 to 2003, where they earned their PhD in Biology.
