Matt Iorio, CPA, MSA

Matt Iorio, CPA, MSA has over twelve years of experience in the accounting and finance industry. Matt began their career in 2009 as an Assurance Senior at EY, where they worked with public and private clients across a variety of industries. In 2013, they joined tonneson + co as an Audit Manager, where they completed compilations, reviews and audits for clients in non-profit, manufacturing, construction and distribution industries. In 2017, they joined Kala Pharmaceuticals as an Accounting Manager, where they prepared and reviewed monthly close, prepared SEC filings, and established internal controls. In 2019, they moved to Arbor Biotechnologies as Director of Finance and Controller, where they led all FP&A efforts and implemented financial systems. Currently, they are the Director of Finance and Controller at Palleon Pharmaceuticals, where they support all FP&A and fundraising efforts and has established a clinical accrual and forecasting model.

Matt Iorio, CPA, MSA earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2009. Matt then earned a Master's degree in Accounting from the same university in 2010. Prior to that, they completed an Accounting degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2007. In 2016, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from the AICPA.
