Major Robert Van Reeth is a career law enforcement professional with 44 years of experience. He is currently assigned to Community Operations which encompasses Community Services (includes Community Relations, School Traffic Safety, Volunteer Services, and the LE Reserve & Auxiliary Unit), Alarm Enforcement/Off-Duty Permits (includes the PAL Program and Volunteer Chaplains), the Special Events Unit (includes the Explorer Program), and the Honor Guard.

Major Van Reeth retired from the West Palm Beach Police Department as an Assistant Chief of Police in August 2005, serving in various positions over a 31-year career. His career with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office started shortly thereafter in 2005, with his appointment to the Internal Affairs Division as the Division Commander. Major Van Reeth has a Bachelor’s Degree from Barry University and is a graduate from the 86th Administrators Officer’s Course at the Southern Police Institute, University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
