Tara Sevareid has an extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Tara attended Middlebury College from 1983 to 1987, earning a BA degree in Theatre/Film. In 1985 and 1986, they studied abroad at UCLA, focusing on Film. In 1997 and 1998, they attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they obtained a Certificate in Human Resources Management. In 2012, they furthered their knowledge in Human Resources Management by earning a Certificate from Villanova University. Tara also holds additional certifications, including the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HRCI, which they obtained in June 2012, and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM, which they obtained in August 2015.

The Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society is a non-profit zoological organization located at Dreher Park in West Palm Beach. The Zoo houses over 700 animals within 23-acres of lush tropical habitat. Its mission is to inspire people to act on behalf of wildlife and the natural world In addition to exciting animals from all over the world living in natural habitats, the Zoo features a colorful carousel, children's train ride, an interactive water play fountain, a full service restaurant, daily performances of the "Wings Over Water" bird show, and many other programs and events throughout each day. The zoo offers a dynamic Summer Zoo Camp Program, a "Night Owls" Overnight Program, Field Trips, Outreach Programs, and a variety of special events such as "Winter in July", "Boo at the Zoo" and "Festival por los Animales." Zoo memberships provide free admission year-round. The Zoological Society of the Palm Beaches exists to protect wildlife and wildlife habitat, and to inspire others to value and conserve the natural world.
