Tara Sevareid Phr

Tara Sevareid has an extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Tara is currently serving as the Human Resources Director at the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Human Resources Manager at the Schumacher Auto Group from August 2021 to August 2022. Tara also held the position of Human Resources Director at the Apple Automotive Group in York PA from February 2013 to July 2021. Tara has further experience as an HR consultant at AU Consulting, where they provided HR support to clients and organized business setups for US employees of a Swedish firm from March 2002 to May 2011. Additionally, they served as the Director of Human Resources at Fast Search & Transfer ASA from November 2000 to March 2002, overseeing the global HR function of the company. Prior to that, they worked as the Human Resources Manager at Cobalt Networks, Inc, managing staffing and training functions from November 1999 to November 2000. Tara's earlier experience includes serving as the Employment and Benefits Manager at Southwall Technologies Inc from August 1996 to November 1999, where they focused on recruiting strategies and employee relations.

Tara Sevareid, PHR, SHRM-CP, has a diverse educational background with a focus on Theatre/Film and Human Resources Management. Tara attended Middlebury College from 1983 to 1987, earning a BA degree in Theatre/Film. In 1985 and 1986, they studied abroad at UCLA, focusing on Film. In 1997 and 1998, they attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they obtained a Certificate in Human Resources Management. In 2012, they furthered their knowledge in Human Resources Management by earning a Certificate from Villanova University. Tara also holds additional certifications, including the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HRCI, which they obtained in June 2012, and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM, which they obtained in August 2015.
