Carly Houghton

Carly Houghton is an experienced ecologist with a robust background in environmental consulting and ecology. Currently serving as an Intermediate Ecologist at SLR Consulting and Palmer since 2023, Carly previously worked as a Terrestrial Ecologist at WSP in Canada and an Ecologist at Palmer Environmental Consulting Group. Key responsibilities have included leading breeding bird surveys, conducting wildlife and ecological assessments, and engaging in agency consultation and reporting. Additional experience includes invasive species management at the Royal Botanical Gardens and conducting ecological research during a project at HZ University of Applied Sciences. Carly holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies with a minor in Biology and a diploma in Ecological Restoration and Rehabilitation from the University of Waterloo.
