Valerie Corbin

Valerie Corbin, PHR, SHRM-CP, currently serves as Human Resources Manager and Environment, Health and Safety Manager at Palmer Candy Company since February 2021. Prior to this, Valerie held the position of Director of Human Resources, Safety, and Environmental Compliance at Sioux City Foundry Co. from April 2008 to February 2022, overseeing HR functions for 200 employees and managing compliance with OSHA, EPA, Workman's Compensation, and DOT regulations. Valerie's early career includes experience as an LPN, first working as a floor nurse at Mercy Medical Center from November 1993 to April 2008, and later serving as head nurse at Mercy Business Health from 2004 to April 2008, where responsibilities included scheduling nurses and collaborating with various stakeholders. Valerie holds an Associate's degree in Emergency and Disaster Management and a Diploma in Practical Nursing from Western Iowa Tech Community College.
