Amber Stimpson

Senior Architectural Historian at Palmer Engineering

Amber Stimpson is a Senior Architectural Historian at Palmer Engineering since October 2021, with extensive experience in historic preservation and architectural history. Previously, Amber served as Senior Architectural Historian and History Team Lead at Edwards-Pitman from February 2020 to October 2021 and held multiple roles at the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including Certified Local Government Coordinator and Environmental/Historic Preservation Review Specialist II from July 2014 to February 2020. Amber's career also includes positions as an Administrative Assistant and Program Coordinator at the University of Kentucky, Architectural Historian at Dewberry, and Historic Preservation Specialist at FEMA. Amber obtained a Master of Arts in American Studies/Historic Preservation from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Socio-Cultural Anthropology from Brigham Young University, along with a study abroad experience at the BYU Jerusalem Center.
