Michael Nelson has a diverse professional background with over a decade of experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Recruiter at Palmer Group since March 2020, Michael focuses on enhancing Iowa’s workforce through strategic connections. Prior experience includes working as an Executive Curriculum Consultant at Perfection Learning, where responsibilities included evaluating market trends and developing sales strategies. Michael also held the position of Logistics Account Manager at WorldWide Logistics, identifying new customer opportunities and building a carrier base tailored to client needs. Earlier roles include positions at Scheels and Lizzy Rose LLC, where Michael gained expertise in retail management and golf course operations. Additionally, Michael served as Executive Director for the Nelly Memorial Golf Tournament, overseeing event management and fundraising initiatives. Michael holds a Master of Arts in Tourism and a Bachelor’s degree in Leisure Services from the University of Northern Iowa.
