Wayne Venter

Wayne Venter is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and infrastructure development, particularly in water services, mechanical, electrical, and utility sectors. Currently serving as Service Manager for Water at Palmerston North City Council since December 2022, Wayne previously held various roles at Fulton Hogan, including Zone Manager and Project Engineer, overseeing significant projects like the Ohakea Te Whare Toroa. Earlier experience includes project engineering for the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Project at DRA Global and engineering roles within the De Beers Group of Companies and Petra Diamonds. Wayne’s academic background includes a BScEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, a Bachelor of Science Honours in Industrial Technology and Management, and a GCC Mechanical Engineering qualification for Mines and Works.
