Debbie Stephenson, CPC, CPMA, CRC has over 28 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Debbie began their career in 1993 at Valley Health as the Shenandoah Pediatrics Office Billing Manager, Coder and Consultant, as well as the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital Billing, A/R and IT Specialist. In 2008, they joined Palmetto Health as a HIM Revenue Integrity Coder and Coder II - Physician Practices. In 2013, they moved to CompuGroup Medical USA as an EHR Quality Assurance Analyst. In 2016, they joined MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center as a Medical Coder/Analyst II, Remote Regional Coding Specialist. In 2019, they joined Lexington Medical Center as a Compliance Auditor. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Palmetto Primary Care Physicians as a Quality and Revenue Integrity Specialist.

Debbie Stephenson has an education history that includes attending Laurel Ridge Community College from 2002 to 2004, where they studied Accounting and Business/Management. Debbie also attended Shape American High School. Her certifications include Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) from AAPC obtained in July 2019, Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) from AAPC obtained in December 2015, ICD-10 Proficiency from AAPC obtained in September 2014, and CPC from AAPC obtained in May 2011.
