James Ruiz serves as the Owner of 2nd Amendment LLC, providing personal firearms instruction and specializing as a CWP Instructor, NRA pistol instructor, Chief Range Safety Officer, and long-range instructor since December 2021. Concurrently, James works as a Customer Service Representative at Palmetto State Armory since November 2019. James has a notable military background, having served as the Memorial Affairs Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge at Fort Stewart, Georgia, managing military casualty affairs across several states and certifying funeral teams for multiple brigades and battalions from July 2013 to January 2023. Additional roles in the US Army include Driver and Personal Security Detachment to the Commanding General at Fort Polk and Instructor with the Army Marksmanship Unit between January 2007 and June 2010. James completed education at Valley High and Foothill High School in the mid-1980s.

The history of Palmetto State Armory is simple - veteran Jamin McCallum returned from deployment with the same passion and demand for excellence that was instilled in him through the military. He soon noticed that there did not seem to be a customer friendly company available for the everyday gun enthusiast. Starting as just an ammunition and magazine website, PSA has grown into a full service company represented by the website, multiple retail locations, and its own personalized firearms brand. With a dedication to quality and customer service, Palmetto State Armory has their sights set on continued excellence and growth.
