Erik Garcia is a skilled professional in video production and photography with extensive experience in educational settings and freelance work. Currently serving as the Director of Video Production and Assistant Director at Palo Alto Community Child Care since August 2016, Erik teaches filmmaking to children in grades K-5. Previous roles include Director of Video Production at Stanford University, where Erik was the showrunner for "Mariposa," a telenovela focused on mental health awareness in the Latinx community. Additionally, Erik has worked as a freelance video editor and photographer since 2009, along with teaching film and animation at CAMP EDMO from 2014 to 2016. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Playwriting and Screenwriting from De Anza College and training in improvisation and acting from Second City.
