Bullappa Kannakatti

Bullappa Kannakatti is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and team management. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Palo Alto Networks since February 2021, Bullappa is focused on Prisma Access. Previous roles include Director of Software Engineering at IoTium, where Bullappa directed a multifunctional team to develop a secure OT access cloud platform, and Senior Staff Engineer at vArmour. Bullappa's career also includes significant positions at Juniper Networks as a Staff Engineer, and both NetDevices and Alcatel-Lucent as a Lead Engineer and Development Engineering Manager, respectively. Early career experience was gained as a Software Engineer at Adaptec and a Lead Engineer at HCL-CISCO ODC, specializing in VoIP applications and Cisco routing platforms. Bullappa holds a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Gulbarga University.
