Tim Berry is the founder and chairman of Palo Alto Software, Inc., a company that they founded in 1988 and grew to achieve a 70% market share and consistent profitability. Tim currently serves as the chairman of the board while also engaging in activities such as blogging, speaking, teaching, and writing. Additionally, they run their own business, Have Presence LLC, where they specialize in social media business planning. Tim Berry is also an investor member of the Willamette Angel Conference and was the lead investor in 2013. Tim previously worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Oregon and held positions at Creative Strategies International, McGraw-Hill World News, and United Press International.

Tim Berry has a BA magna cum laude in Literature from the University of Notre Dame, which they obtained from 1966 to 1970. Tim then pursued an MA with honors in Journalism from the University of Oregon, studying from 1970 to 1971. Furthermore, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 1979 to 1981 to earn an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General.
