Cynthia James is a Trustee at Palo Alto University. Cynthia has over 18 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry. Cynthia was the Global Director of Business Development at Kaspersky Lab, and they are the CEO and Principal Consultant of Cyberus Security. Cynthia has also worked as an Investment Manager at NEC Technology Incubation Group. In their role as a speaker for Vistage Worldwide, Inc., they won the "Top Speaker of the Year" award.

Cynthia James has a Master of Professional Studies in Cybersecurity Strategy and Information Management from The George Washington University. Cynthia also has a BA in Economics from University of California, Santa Cruz. Cynthia James is certified by Microsoft in Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, and by ISC2 in Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
