Alisha McBride is an experienced research technician currently employed at the Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research since March 2016, specializing in the molecular mechanisms of aging and rejuvenation within the Department of Neurology’s Wyss-Coray Laboratory. Prior to this role, Alisha worked as a pharmacy technician at Safeway, assisting in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment, and as a medical assistant at Apple A Day Family Medicine, where clinic setup and patient base development were key responsibilities. Alisha gained significant research experience at Washington State University College of Pharmacy, working as a laboratory technician on an immunology project and as a research assistant in behavioral pharmacology. Additionally, Alisha served as a Boeing Scholar Research Mentor, guiding undergraduate students in research opportunities. Alisha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from Washington State University and a certificate in Phlebotomy from Lewis and Clark State College.
