Mehak Shaikh

Mehak Shaikh is a graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Biotechnology at Thomas Jefferson University, following a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Mumbai. As a Research Intern at Thomas Jefferson University, Mehak conducted analysis on mitochondrial function in skeletal muscle and performed gene knockout and cell culture techniques related to ISR and mTORC signaling. In the role of Teaching Assistant, interactive student sessions in molecular biology, biotechnology, and chemistry were led, alongside personalized mentorship. Previous experience as an Industrial Trainee at MEYER ORGANICS PVT. LTD. involved engaging in various pharmaceutical manufacturing aspects, including formulation development, quality control, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
