Diane Hansen

Diane Hansen has been named Chief Executive Officer for Palomar Health. Previously, Diane served as the Executive Vice President, Finance for Palomar Health, after having twice served as the Director of Financial Planning and Decision Support, as well as the Director of Clinical Business Operations. Diane has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, to include for-profit, not-for-profit and governmental acute care hospitals in both academic medical centers and community hospitals. She also has extensive experience in physician networks, insurance providers and consulting, as well as expertise in the areas of Strategic and Financial Planning, Decision Support, and Clinical Business Operations.

As Executive Vice President, Finance, Diane’s responsibilities included strategic financial planning, treasury, capital formation, financial management, budgeting, contracting, revenue cycle and real estate.

As the Director of Clinical Business Operations for Palomar, Diane focused on cost management in all areas of the organization, with a primary emphasis on labor management and efficiency.

Diane serves on the board for Palomar Health affiliate Palomar Health Development, Inc., a 501c(3) Grants Entity, as well as various joint ventures. As a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Diane served on the HFMA San Diego – Imperial Chapter Board.

Between her two tenures at Palomar Health, Diane worked for Indiana University Health as the Director of Financial Operations for the IU Health Physicians (IUHP) network and Ambulatory Services. In the two-and-a-half years she spent there, IUHP fully integrated more than 600 physicians.

Prior to IUHP, Diane worked for WellPoint, Inc., the parent company of Anthem/Blue Cross, a Fortune 35 company. As Director of Cost and Budget, she was responsible for consolidation of the budget for twelve divisions, quarterly projections and reporting.

Diane is a licensed CPA and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
