Christos Kasapantoniou has extensive experience in financial management and operations, with a focus on international organizations. Christos currently serves as the Director of Financial Resources at the Pan American Health Organization. Prior to this, they held senior positions at UNICEF, where they were Chief Grants Management and Financial Reporting, as well as a Senior Advisor for Trust Funds and Improving Operations. Christos also worked at the United Nations as Chief Administrative Services Officer, overseeing service delivery for a special political mission. Before their work in international organizations, Kasapantoniou held executive roles at IKEA Greece Cyprus Bulgaria, Alumil SA, and Titan Cement Company SA, where they provided financial stewardship and international coordination of finance and operations. Christos began their career at Deloitte and SC Johnson Greece, gaining experience in interim management and CFO roles. Kasapantoniou's expertise lies in financial management, resource coordination, and improving operational efficiency.
Christos Kasapantoniou earned a BA in Economics from The George Washington University in 1986. Christos then pursued further education and obtained an MA in Economics from The University of Manchester in 1987. In 1996, they completed their studies at CIMA, earning a CIMA degree in Accounting. In 2002, they became a Fellow at ACCA, specializing in Accounting. Additionally, Christos obtained additional certifications including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Purdue University, Associate of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from CIMA, and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants from ACCA.
