Mr. Cheng was promoted to Group Human Resources Director of Hutchison Ports in October 2019. Prior to the current role, he was successively appointed General Manager of their joint ventures in Zhuhai and Shanghai for a period of 10 years.
Mr. Cheng joined Hutchison Ports in 1986, has since excelled in a career path covering human resources management responsibilities in Hongkong International Terminals Limited, Yantian International Container Terminals Limited and COSCO-HIT Terminals (Hong Kong) Limited. Subsequent to that, he was assigned to Terminal Operations and was one of the leading project managers with extensive involvement in the development and implementation of their proprietary terminal management system, nGen, which stands for Next Generation.
He is a certified consultant of SAP and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management.
