Brad Karson

Brad Karson, CFA has an extensive work experience in finance and advisory roles. Brad is currently working as the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Prior to this, they held the position of Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at the same organization.

Before joining the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Brad was the Managing Director at Karson Advisors LLC, where they provided strategic financial and operational advisory services to nonprofit organizations. Brad specialized in developing operational assessments, strategic plans, and managing complex projects.

Brad has also worked as the Director of Professional Services at JMT Consulting Group, where they advised finance and accounting stakeholders of nonprofit organizations on financial management system selection and implementation. Brad was responsible for leading a team and overseeing client engagements.

Additionally, Brad has held leadership positions at Pencils of Promise and as an independent contractor, where they served as the Vice President of Finance and Executive Consultant, respectively.

Earlier in their career, Brad worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager in Real Estate Advisory, advising clients on operational controls, reporting policies, and financial systems. Brad also served as the Director of Strategic Solutions at SunGard, where they provided client-specific presentations and advised on the optimization of software applications.

Brad's work experience also includes roles at iStar Financial, Opteum Financial Services, and Accenture in various finance and analysis positions.

Brad Karson, CFA obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Penn State University from 1997 to 2001. In 2017, they achieved a Certificate of achievement in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Columbia University. Brad Karson also holds additional certifications, including a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University in the City of New York obtained in May 2017 and a CFA Institute CE Program 5 Year Milestone certification from the CFA Institute.
