Eyal Gottlieb has a long and distinguished career in cancer research. Eyal began their career in 1998 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in 1999. In 2003, they took on the role of Research Group Leader at the Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute. In 2009, they became a Professor of Molecular Cell Biology at the Institute of Cancer Sciences at the University of Glasgow. In 2016, they were appointed the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Chair of Cancer Research at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. In 2020, they were named Director at the Rappaport Family Institute for Research in the Medical Sciences. Additionally, they have been a Co-Founder of Metabomed Ltd. since 2013 and of Pangea Biomed since 2019. Most recently, they were appointed VP, Research at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2023.

Eyal Gottlieb completed a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem between 1987 and 1990. Eyal then went on to complete a Master of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science between 1990 and 1992. Afterward, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science between 1993 and 1998. Finally, Eyal Gottlieb completed a Master of Business Administration - Start-up MBA from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 2018 and 2020.
