Maria Renteria

Maria Renteria is an experienced immigration attorney currently working at Pangea Legal Services since September 2023. Prior to this role, Maria served as a staff attorney at the UFW Foundation from September 2022 to August 2023 and held the position of Removal Defense Law Fellow at RAICES from August 2021 to August 2022, where responsibilities included representing clients in removal proceedings and custody redetermination cases. Maria began a legal career at The University of Texas School of Law, contributing as a student attorney in various clinics, including the Domestic Violence, Criminal Defense, Juvenile Justice, and Immigration Clinics. Additional experience includes working as a law clerk at Lincoln Goldfinch Law and roles as a legal intern at the Equal Justice Center and paralegal at Van Der Hout, Brigagliano & Nightingale, LLP. Maria holds a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
