Brian Wang

Brian Wang is currently the Co-Founder and Executive Director at Panoplia Laboratories since June 2023. Prior to this role, he worked at Alvea as the Head of R&D from January 2022 to May 2023. Before that, at MIT Media Lab from January 2020 to July 2022, he served as a Postdoctoral Researcher under the guidance of Kevin Esvelt. Brian also worked at UC Berkeley from August 2014 to December 2019 as a Graduate Student Researcher, focusing on the synthesis of taxoid natural products and designing analogs of abscisic acid for drought tolerance in crops. Additionally, he has teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at both Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and Cornell University. Brian also gained industry experience through internships at Xerox, where he conducted lab experiments to enhance toner performance. Brian earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and his B.A. in Chemistry from Cornell University.
