Marissa Akason

Marissa Akason is an experienced education professional with a strong background in leadership and administration. Currently serving as the Professional Learning Director at Panorama Education since April 2024, Marissa has previously held significant roles including Principal at Acero Schools from August 2018 to July 2022 and Principal Intern at Boston Public Schools from August 2017 to July 2018. Marissa's extensive experience at UNO Charter School Network from July 2008 to July 2017 includes positions as Interim Director, Master Teacher, and 1st and 2nd Grade Teacher. Marissa earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2018, and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Colgate University, along with studies at the University of Michigan.
