Maria Rivera-Lazaro is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in payroll and operations management across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Head of APAC Operations at Papaya Global since April 2021, Maria oversees a team responsible for managing the service delivery of over 500 payrolls and Employer of Record clients, ensuring timely achievement of objectives. Prior roles include Global Payroll Lead for the APAC region and Global Payroll Manager at Bristol Myers Squibb, where Maria participated in governance processes related to global compensation. Early career experiences include positions as Payroll Manager at Langham Hospitality Group, Payroll Supervisor at Amcor, and various payroll roles at AECOM, where achievements included successful payroll processing for large employee groups and contributions to system migration projects. Maria holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Santo Tomas.
