Ricky Leung has a diverse and accomplished work experience spanning over two decades. Ricky began their career as a Junior Programmer at Computer Associates in 1997, followed by roles as a Software Engineer at iXL and Hotsocket. In 2001, they joined the American Booksellers Association as the Director of E-commerce services, where they remained until 2009.

From 2009 to 2016, Ricky Leung worked at The New York Times, holding various positions including Software Engineer, Software Architect, Associate Director of Technology, and finally Director of Technology. During their time at The New York Times, they led the messaging team, built and led the personalization team, and mentored other software engineering teams.

In 2016, Ricky Leung joined Tribune Publishing as the Senior Director of Software Product Engineering for a short period. During their time there, they evaluated their Hadoop infrastructure, created plans for expanding their stack while reducing costs, and provided consultation on their data center migration to AWS Infrastructure.

Currently, Ricky Leung is employed at Paperless Post as the Senior Director of Engineering and the VP of Engineering. Ricky has been in this role since 2016 and is responsible for overseeing the engineering department.
