Scott Copeland has a diverse work experience in various companies. Scott started their career in 1993 as a Technical Support Manager and Research Engineer at Grammar Engine, Inc. where they developed product documentation and implemented support procedures. In 1999, they left the company.
In 1992, they founded their own company, Copeland Electronics, Inc., where they served as President. The company developed embedded control modules and controls, as well as sold embedded programming tools.
In 2003, Scott founded another company called Copeland Communications, Inc. / CDS. Scott served as President until their retirement in 2014, after which they became the Executive Director. Under their leadership, the company developed custom and standard communication products and grew through creativity in product development and management.
In 2017, Scott joined PAR Excellence Systems as the Director of Electrical Engineering. Scott designed medical inventory equipment, worked with a multidisciplinary group, and developed new products.
Scott Copeland attended Franklin University from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained an associate degree in Computer Science. Scott then continued their education at Franklin University from 1987 to 1992 and graduated with a degree in Electronics Engineering, specifically in the field of Electronics Engineering Technology (BSEET).
