Walter Whitten

Director of Infrastructure at PAR

Walter Whitten has a long and varied work experience. From 1998 to 2001, they were the Manager of Operations at MetalSite. From 2001 to 2011, they were the ITSS Network Manager at Management Science Associates, where they worked with Fortune 500 clients supporting networking, security, disaster recovery, and business continuity. From 2011 to 2016, they were the Chief Information Officer and HIPAA Security-Privacy Officer at Quality Life Services, where they were responsible for directing a 7-person team and a $2M annual IT budget, overseeing IT operations, information security, and privacy safeguards. From 2016 to 2017, they were the Director of Information Technology at Central Florida Health Care, Inc., where they led an executive accountability for information technology and information security for a 462-person organization. From 2018 to 2020, they were an Adjunct Professor at Hillsborough Community College, where they taught courses that included Introduction to Computers & Technology, Introduction to Networking, Network Security, and Wireless Networking. Currently, they are the Director of Infrastructure at PAR - Psychological Assessment Resources, where they are responsible for the analysis, design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of PAR's technology network and infrastructure.

Walter Whitten has a Masters of Science in Information Security and Assurance from Robert Morris University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management from the same university. Walter also holds certifications from the EC-Council (Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), obtained in June 2019), (ISC)² (Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), obtained in January 2019), CompTIA (Network +, obtained in December 2012), and Cisco (CCNA). Walter also has an A+ certification from CompTIA.
