Maria Halkias

Maria Halkias has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Maria most recently worked at Para Bellum Games Ltd, starting as a Project Manager in June 2018 and later being promoted to Head of Operations in January 2021. Prior to that, Maria worked as a Communications Manager at Reproductive Health Matters from January 2016 to May 2018. From October 2014 to September 2015, they worked as a Project Officer at WSCF. Maria also gained experience as a Communications Collaborator at ICVolunteers from February 2014 to August 2014. Maria has a background in arts and culture, having worked as a Project Editor and Coordinator at the Temporary Autonomous Museum for All (T.A.M.A.) from December 2011 to December 2013, and as an Independent Collections Manager at Makron Collection from December 2008 to December 2013. Maria co-founded TOQSO Cultural Project Managers in April 2009 and served as the Co-Founder & Project Coordinator until November 2011. Maria started their career as a Research Assistant at the Contemporary Greek Art Institute from September 2008 to April 2009.

Maria Halkias pursued their education starting in 1997 at Bard College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics. Maria then enrolled at the University of St Andrews in 2004 and successfully completed their studies in 2008, earning a PhD in the field of History of Art.
